Community Car Scheme

Do you find it difficult getting out and about? Would you like more independence? Westway CT can find you a car with a trained volunteer driver to take you where you want to go. This is one of the largest and most successful schemes in London.

The Car Scheme is a low-cost option, much cheaper than taking a taxi. Joining the scheme costs just £12 a year to register for all Door-to-Door Services and then you only pay for the journeys you make.  You will be sent a monthly statement and can pay by cheque or postal order at the end of the month.

If you need someone to accompany you we can find trained volunteers to help. All our volunteers are interviewed, vetted and trained in Passenger Assistance Disability Awareness and use of specialist equipment. You are also welcome to travel with a friend.

You will need to register with us first. Call 020 8964 1114 between 10am and 1pm, Monday to Friday, or leave a message and we will get back to you. Booking times are necessary to match volunteers with passengers. We do our best to organise your trip for the time you want to go, but this cannot be guaranteed. However, most requests are successful.
